There is an alternate version of games taking place at Rio, alongside the Olympics. Welcome to the 2016 Doodle Fruit Games.
The athletes? Fresh farm produce competing for the title of the freshest fruit. These games, however, can be played by anyone with a smart phone and an updated Google app.
In the video above, google employees Nat and Lo, who routinely put out videos offering a look behind the company's projects, take us through the creation of the games. Google’s Doodle team worked on them, and here we meet Matt, an animator, and Ben, who is an engineer, to understand how art and engineering came together.
The video below is a trailer of the game.
